Hippolytus translates as “destroyed by horses.” In the adaptation, he is destroyed not by the sea beasts of Neptune, but through the loss of control over his emotions and passions. 1670.
And then his 200SX crashes into the sea. 1671.

Hippolytus is a typical young Japanese male, misogynist and obsessed with cars. 1668.
In my original adaptation, he crashes his Skyline GTR. But, that would be too painful for me to watch. So instead he drives a 200SX. 1669.

One of my dreams is to produce a film adaptation of Racine’s Phaedra set in modern day Tokyo. 1665.
Phaedra has taken over leadership of the Bunraku puppet theater after the disappearance of her husband. 1666.
Hippolytus spends his days driving Mt. Myogi. 1667.

I have said more than once, “come friends, let us away.” And my friends do not think it strange or pretentious when I do. This pleases me. 1663.
That they also do not away with me when I say, “come friends, let us away.” That does not please me. 1664.
