I did nothing for my fellow man today, but I did call Mother. I will try for something tomorrow. 1635.

The assimilation is now complete. Deacon has bought a Mac Book Pro. He was the last of the friends and family to switch.

He called me earlier to ask if he should do a clean install. Huh? I thought he bought a new computer. He did. He was referring to Windows ritual of wiping everything off the brand new computer (the crap programs that get bundled like Passport and MSN and the five different virus and anti-virus programs) so you can get a clean fast install.

No, I tell him. It just works. 1636.

A week ago I started a project called The One Million Splotz of Glue Campaign. Quoting from the site, here are my hopes and dreams for week two:

I got three Splotz of Glue. A damn fine start. I think we should set a goal of ten more for week two and then grow exponentially from there.

I connected with two new allies. Another damn fine start. I think we shall be bold and try for ten more as well. Ten seems to be a good number.

Let us start planning for the silly workshops. Over the next few days I will start posting a silly workshop kit which you can all contribute to. Let us get that completed by the end of week two.

If you are a community organizer or community builder I want to meet you. At least, uhm, ten of you by the end of the week. Please email me and let me know what you are doing to build community.

We have three. Only 999,997 more to go.

Will you help me? 1638.

Unlike me, the MBP has a bitch of a time waking from sleep. Oftentimes I find myself forced to power down and reboot. Anyone? As a side note, I realize that I have written oftentimes at least three times this week. 1639.
