Coffee Cups 1485, 1486, and 1487
Not that I need any excuse to visit Mother. But, I have these documents that I need her to sign. I figured I would just Brown them to her. 1485.
Then I find out, that she is headed to Vegas for New Years. A fun little getaway. We decide to crash her trip. I can deliver the docs in person. 1486.
Like I said, not that I needed a reason. But, New Years Eve on the Strip?!? We are staying at the Aladdin if all you all want to stop by. I am sure Mother will enjoy meeting you. 1487.

Coffee Cups 1483 and 1484
I have been a fog this week. Lack of sleep and this lingering chest cold. That is my excuse for wondering how lost hikers on Mt. Hood, who apparently fell into a crevasse, were found in China. 1483.
Different hikers, I am guessing. That is my fear. To one day end up as a descripter. “Runaway Bride” “Lost Dad” “Missing Hikers” “Half-eaten Coffee Blogger” 1484.

Guest Cup 70 - hippy
hippy writes:
Hiya,
Not sure if you are still interested as it has been a long, long time (a little emergency brain surgery and lots of London fun got in the way) but I finally have a submission for you.
It’s only instant coffee I’m afraid (Fair Trade, with only a sip remaining, refill! stat!) but I’m not really up for spending lots of money on an espresso machine for myself.. yet. The mug is a cutesy ‘dino’ mug that my old flatmate Sheila left here for me (her and Grant recently left London for worldly travels). The bike in the background is my ‘79 TI Raleigh team track bike that is currently having a rear wheel rebuilt before hitting the streets of London again.
Mmm… coffee…
ciao!
hippy

Guest Cup 70 is from my friend hippy of hippyblog in London. Happy Christmas hippy and safe riding. It must be beautiful to ride the streets of London this time of year. Thank you for the cup and best wishes in the new year.

Coffee Cups 1481 and 1482
I get a lot of emails (two so far) asking why I say “Happy Christmas” instead of “Merry Christmas” as is more common here in North America. Really, you people need to get a life. I appreciate you reading and taking the time to write, but you scare me sometimes. I say “Happy Christmas” because I like the way it sounds, it expresses my wish to you, and it is what Clement Clarke Moore (an American from North America) wrote in his famous poem. 1481.
Anyway, I was not raised in North America. I did not watch a lot of television when I was younger. And that is too what Moore originally wrote. Besides, I also say “Happy New Year” instead of the more common “Piss Off”. 1482.

Happy Christmas. Peace, joy, and cookies to all. 1479.
And to all the geeks. Blessed Winter Veil. May Greatfather Winter bless you all. Do not forget to check under the tree at Ironforge. 1480.
