Coffee Cup 1428
So, they fired Koetter. As long as Norm Chow does not get hired (even as an assistant) I do not care. Someone suggested Price. Is he not the guy that partied at the strip club then got fired before he even started? 1428.

Coffee Cups 1426 and 1427
On Deacon’s suggestion (he saw it twice), we went to see the new James Bond movie. It was a fun adaptation of the novel, with the exception of Baccarat being replaced by Texas Hold’em. For Bond geeks, there are number of fun nods. And of course SRB makes a cameo during the airport scene. 1426.
The weather has finally turned, it is cold again, and I cannot remember the last movie we saw together. Snakes? 1427.

Coffee Cup 1425
Home safe. Presh fires up the vacuum pot. Dinner was take away from the Chinese place down the road. The hot sour soup was hideous, but the noodle dish and the rest satisfied nicely. Watching the alma mater on the feed while Presh levels her hunter. It is nice to be home. 1425.

Interlude 71 - Montezuma’s Castle
The afternoon was spent touring Montezuma’s Castle. This was our third attempt at visiting this National Park. The first two times we got there too late in the day.
It was quite impressive. I spent much of the visit trying to determine how they got water up there.
As with most of these parks the nature walk is the highlight. The leaves had turned a couple of weeks ago. The colours as we approached golden hour were amazing.
This is Arizona.

Coffee Cup 1424
Room service was screwed up at the hotel. So instead of dinner they gave us a free movie. We have not laughed so hard since POTO. We spend the morning in a beautiful mountain town just off Route 66. The movie was Jackass Number 2, btw. 1424.
