The Band!
Posted by Lloyd Y. Asato | Filed under Poetics of Peet's

A year ago over the cup of coffee that appears above I wrote the following:
I am at my happiest sitting in a coffee shop solving problems with the coolest people I can find. And that in the past years I have sat in many coffee shops and encountered the coolest of cools. And together we created and completed a couple of wow projects. And I want more.
I miss the band.
I miss the energy of the studio as we lay down tracks and improvise and create. I miss mixing in new rhythms and genres and mashing old school and being surprised and giddy. I miss going on tour. I miss the end of a successful tour.
So here we are and The Coffee Sessions are born. There is an idea unfolding in my head of 50,000 monkeys laying tracks. It is a wacky idea and it is an incomplete idea. A studio where we can come together to talk and create – then plan and do. The Reverend Cleophus James is preaching and I am beginning to see the light.
The Band!
So, who’s in?
I wonder if it is the affect July has on me or something else. Been thinking about the band again…
Happy Fourth!

We had the choice of watching the fireworks at Tempe Town Lake or at Stormwind. Guess which one we chose. Enjoy our freedoms, respect its cost, and fight every effort to diminish them. Presh and I wish you a happy and safe adventure. Oh, look.. a yellow dot.
Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tarts®

Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tarts® are just about the world’s most perfect food. Everybody and their damn mother went to see that pirate movie. We did not. Sung Kang has charisma. I am about to get insanely busy again. Wonderfalls should be saved. And yes, the PLM14000e review is coming. My initial thoughts? Bigger than I thought, built in GFCI kept popping (probably not a machine thing), and the damn thing at full power on a hot day cooled down my office in minutes. But like I said, Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tarts® are just about the world’s most perfect food and the review is coming.
