Coffee Cups 1086 and 1087

A year ago today, Mike (then from Feedster) found my site and changed my life.

1086

A year ago today, I realized the purpose of this site.

1087

A year later, I find myself sipping a Guinness in a bar in another damn mall. Thank the feed for bars in malls that serve Guinness.

Coffee Cup 1085

So, when did this site jump the shark? Many feel that it was just after midnight on New Years Day when the year of coffee continued.

1085

Me, I think I am amused that folks think this site was good enough to have jumped the shark. 1085.

Coffee Cup 1084

Today was H’s birthday lunch and I got to tag along with the film crew that shoots Our Town, our cable news magazine. But it is not today, it is several weeks later, but I remember it. I remember the pulled pork sandwich, and the park where we filmed. I remember the dust and carrying the tripod.

The moblog is playing an interesting role in the continuation of this site. I was asked how I could continue. My response was that I have all of the the cups and I have the moblog. I can recreate it pretty accurately. It has always been the conceit of the site that the cups shot have been consumed on the day posted, but not neccesarily posted on the day consumed. Same month. Does that count? 1084.

Coffee Cup 1083

I guess this will be the Pulp Fiction flashback.

It really looked like the site would end, but I guess not. I realized that if I went a month without a post the site would be over. Several times this month I sat down and prepared to write. Nothing came. There were short moments of reflection and every now and then a realization that this might be it. Thirteen months in this year of coffee.

1083

I do not know why. I can say that it does not feel strange to write this again. I wonder what happened? 1083.
