Coffee Cups 915 and 916

Holy fricking moly! It is December. This Year of Coffee will soon be over. I am getting all misty eyed. There are so many people to thank.

915

It was suggested by friend Tony that I do The Year of Tucks Pads next. No, but next year is coming into focus. I know what I am going to do with this blog and I know what I want to do next. 915.

The cups and the counting will continue. I think. I will let you know in 29 days or so. But that other thing, the what comes next thing. I finally got it. I want to save the world. Not the one person doing that great thing thing, but the one person doing that thing thing. Heroic actions sometimes save the world. But most of the time it is the simple mundane small things that add up and add vectors. And I have a plan. And it makes me smile. And I need some allies. Stay tuned… 916.

Coffee Cups 917 and 918

Spent the day and night learning Movable Type and setting up a multi-author blog. Three of my four blogs are powered by WordPress (which I love). The fourth is powered by Drupal for some reason I do not remember. I think it was because I wanted to explore Drupal.

MT was very easy to install. I had a little problem with MT connecting with MySQL, but that was quickly dg’d and remedied. I am familiar with MT as this is what we use at MetroBlogging Phoenix. 917.

Making the blog pretty is harder and actually requires me to type. I prefer push button template solutions (like WP’s themes). Seems to be working well, though. Cool. 918.

Coffee Cups 919 and 920

The most important thing you can do this weekend is to read this letter and add your support by signing it. I have and I encourgae you to do so as well. The letter asks Starbucks to live up to their own Fair Trade policy.

919

Then, did I mention that this is a multi-parter, take the Starbucks Challenge and see just why we at The Year of Coffee Blog have signed the letter. 919.

And finally, please register to vote, inform yourself and then actually vote, please drive safely and soberly, and please write a letter to Santa and your Congresspersons telling them exactly what you want this Christmas. 920.
