After the movie, we head out east on the 60. Just past midnight we find a room in Show Low.

Cup 745 is from the greenies in the local Safeway. Keep flying…

We take the long way back so we can have a cup in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. It puts us an extra 600 miles out of our way, but what is 600 miles when you are heading towards a town called Truth or Consequences. It is round 6:00 p.m. when we pull into town and Coffee, T or C is closed for the day. Darn. Still, it was worth the journey. You know, you either understand that or you do not.

We decide to try for Las Cruces but take a short cut towards Deming instead. Around 8:00 p.m. with the light failing we cross the Rio Grande. It is late and we are tired, but there is no room at the inn. All of the brands are booked for the night so we keep on west. It is 11:00 p.m. and Arizona when we get lucky and find a Holiday Inn Express on exit 302. The room is 89 USD and worth it. Cup 746 is in-room coffee.

The bed was wonderful and we sleep in past 9:00 a.m. Turns out we are 9 miles from Kartchner Caverns and an hour from Tombstone and the OK Corral. The cave wins with Presh casting the deciding vote.

The caverns were amazing. I could have done without the song and light show (literally) but the tour and interpretation was excellent. It is past 2:00 p.m. and all we have had to eat was Cup 747.
