Drama this morning as the conference ran out of IP addresses then was hit with massive lag. Seemes better now. 300 plus in the main auditorium, with maybe 600 devices connecting to the feed.
Currently watching Dean Hachamovitch’s keynote. He is doing an Al Gore comedy routine. This was an interesting keynote. During Winer’s keynote there was energy and controversy. For several minutes during Hachamovitch’s keynote the tension and discomfort was palpable despite all the warm and fuzzy Borg jokes.
Microsoft’s big announcement was kind of like Bush 1’s announcement that we needed to go to Mars, someday. Was impressed by the fact that everyone is already doing what they are building into Longhorn. I do realize that Longhorn will bring this to the masses. 522.
